Native protection, not an afterthought.
Most backup products are bolt-ons. They sit outside the hypervisor, scrape state through agents, and become a separate operational system that someone has to maintain, usually with its own console, its own credentials, and its own surprise renewal cycle.
Netframe Backup is built into the platform. It uses the hypervisor's own snapshot primitives, the cluster's own metadata, and the Manager's own RBAC. There is no separate console, backups are a first-class concept in the Manager UI, surfaced where your operators already work.
Practically, that means lower operational overhead, better recovery-time objectives, and fewer agents to keep current. Strategically, it means the protection layer matures alongside the platform, not against a separate vendor roadmap.
- Per-core licensing, no per-VM fees
- Instant restore from any backup point
- Immutable backups against ransomware
- Tiered to S3 / Azure Blob / on-prem object storage
Everything you need to meet your RPO and RTO.
Incremental forever
Full followed by perpetual forward-incrementals. Synthetic fulls run in the repository, not on production hosts.
App-consistent snapshots
Quiescing integrations for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Exchange, and SAP. Linux and Windows guests.
Instant restore
Restore a VM from a backup point in seconds. The VM boots immediately, with data lazy-loaded as required.
Cross-cluster DR
Asynchronous replication to a second Netframe cluster or off-site repository. RPO measured in minutes.
DR orchestration
Recovery groups with staged failover, validation hooks, and runbook automation. Test failovers without touching production.
Long-term retention
Tiered retention policies. Compress and dedupe before tiering to object storage (S3, Azure Blob, on-prem).
Immutable & encrypted
Object-lock immutable backups against ransomware. AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, customer-managed keys.
Policy-driven
Tag-based policies, apply different retention, schedule, and tier rules to different workloads from a single policy engine.
Designed for the modern data centre.
