A real hypervisor. Production-ready. Free.
Most "free" hypervisors are deliberately crippled, feature-gated to push you toward the paid product. Netframe Core is not crippled. It is a fully functional KVM hypervisor that runs production workloads at every scale we have tested.
We make Core free because the value of Netframe is the management plane, the migration tooling, and the engineering relationship. The hypervisor itself should be a commodity, and KVM has been a commodity for over a decade.
You can run Core on its own, manage individual hosts via the built-in web UI, and never pay us a cent. When you outgrow single-host management, Netframe Manager is there. When you want to migrate from vSphere, Netframe Converter is free too.
- Free to download and run indefinitely
- No licence key, no telemetry phone-home
- Production-ready out of the box
- Upgrades cleanly to managed-cluster operation with Netframe Manager
Everything you'd expect from an enterprise hypervisor.
KVM hypervisor
Linux KVM with QEMU userspace, the same hypervisor that runs the public cloud. Production-hardened across millions of deployed cores.
Modern web UI
A clean, fast management interface for single-host operations: VM lifecycle, console, networking, storage, snapshots, and metrics.
Open vSwitch networking
OVS-based software-defined networking. VLANs, bonds, jumbo frames, and the operational primitives you already know.
Shared storage
Bring your existing NFS appliance, or stand up NFS shared storage purpose-built for the cluster.
Single-ISO install & lifecycle
One bootable image installs the hardened operating system and the full Netframe stack on bare metal. Updates ship as a single image: no agent sprawl, no separate package channels.
Linux & Windows guests
Run modern Linux distributions, Windows Server 2012 R2+, BSD variants, and most legacy x86_64 operating systems.
cloud-init provisioning
Provision VMs with cloud-init or sysprep. Reproducible, automated, and ready for Ansible or Terraform.
Built-in metrics
Per-VM and per-host metrics for CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network, accessible directly from the management UI.
Built on proven Linux foundations.
